5 TOP K-POP GROUPS ON MY LIST.

K-pop is a genre of popular music originating in South Korea. K-pop has become a global phenomenon due to its different style of music, its addictive melody and, unique choreography has attracted people from around the globe. K-pop is becoming more and more popular day by day. So, today I'll be sharing some of my favourite k-pop groups that I love listening to all day long.

K-pop has a variety of girl groups, boy groups and co-ed groups. Some of my favourites are listed below:

1. BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan):

BTS is known as Bangtan Sonyeondan. It is the biggest male group in the world right now. It is a seven member group: Jin, RM, SUGA, J-Hope, V, Jimin and Jungkook. They have debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. They have won many awards including global awards in Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards and they have recently been nominated in the Grammy Awards as well. Their music is what inspires and attracts their fans as well as their handsome faces. Their fandom name is ARMY. BTS has a very unique style of music, Some of my favourite BTS songs are Dynamite, Spring Day, DNA, Blood,Sweat and Tears, IDOL, Fake Love etc.

2. BLACKPINK:

BLACKPINK is world's biggest female group. It has 4 members: Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa. They are currently the most listened K-pop artist and most followed girl group on Spotify with over 15 million followers. It is the highest-charting female K-pop act on the US Billboard charts. Blackpink debuted in 2016 under YG Entertainment with their song Boombayah. Their fandom name is BLINKS. Some of their songs which are in my playlist all the time are Playing With Fire, Ddu Du Ddu Du, Kill This Love, Whistle, As If It's Your Last etc.

3. EXO:

EXO debuted in 2012 under SM Entertainment. EXO originally debuted with 12 members. 3 members parted their ways with the group so, now it is active with 9 members: Suho, Xiumin, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O, KAI, Baekhyun, Sehun and Lay. Their fandom name is EXO-L. EXO is considerd the most popular K-POP group, They even earned the title "The Nation's Pick". Some of EXO songs that I really like are Monster, Love Shot, Tempo, Ko Ko Bop, Obsession,Call me Baby etc.

4. RED VELVET:

Red Velvet is a 5 member group which debuted in 2014 under SM Entertainment with their single "Happiness".

Its members are: Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy and Yeri. Yeri joined the group later in 2015. Their fandom name is ReVeluv. In 2017, when Red Velvet released their fourth mini album, Rookie. The album topped the Weekly Gaon Album Chart as well as the Billboard World Albums Chart. Some of my Red Velvet favourites are Zimzalabim, Psycho, Bad Boy, Peek-A-Boo, Russian Roulette, Red Flavour, and Power Up.

5. EVERGLOW:

EVERGLOW is a six member group. They debuted under Yuehua Entertainment in 2019. The members are Onda, Mia, Aisha, E:U, Sihyeon, and Yiren. I recently came across this group and I just love their whole concept and their vibe and their voices. Everything is just perfect about this group. Their fandom name is FOREVER. Some of my favourites from EVERGLOW are Bon Bon Chocolat, DUN DUN, LA DI DA, Adios, You Don't Know Me, and Untouchable.
